I was born, raised, and educated in Chicago, Illinois (one of the states referred to as the Midwest) of the United States. With nearly 30 years of combined business, accounting/bookkeeping and tax prep experience, I decided to become self-employed in 2001. Currently, my energies are focused in the areas of Tax Accounting, and new business start-up. I specialize in personal/business income tax matters, small business set-up, and business administration. I have worked in various arenas, and have tried to absorb as much knowledge as I could from each of those arenas. I have created a U.S. federal income tax website pertaining to individual tax matters. There are 88 different audio recordings on mp3 audio, recorded in instructional, conversational, easy to understand format for easy listening. The webpage is http://www.audiotaxhelp.com. I may be writing a self help guide on the how to understand the U.S. Income Tax System in the near future, stay tuned.
I currently reside in the Los Angeles area of California (southern California). I am currently divorced and have 1 adult son, and a teenage daughter. I own and operate my own small tax business. My intent, and desire is to create for myself ... multiple streams of income. As my daughter has expressed an interest in attending an Ivy League College, I’ll need multiple streams of income.
Recently I realized that I have a renewed passion for writing, and a newly acquired passion for education. My thoughts are, why not combine the two. I wrote the Wise Persons Guide To Starting A Business In the U.S.A. because I know that there are individuals that live in other countries who are interested in starting a business in the U.S.A., and haven’t a clue as to how to get started. This guide is the first of what I hope to be a series of self help guides that I write. As a child, and during my teen years, I wrote poetry. One particular poem that I wrote was published in my neighborhood newspaper. Another was read over the school intercom on a national holiday.
As for hobbies, I recently started learning to sail my Cal34 sailboat. Sailing is such an escape for me. I truly enjoy it. I appreciate the fact that I had the opportunity to be introduced to the boating world. I also like to play golf, though it’s been a few years since I’ve done it. At least I remember the basics, ball position, stance, and grip…not necessarily in that order. Over the past 6 years I have also developed an appetite for international travel. Thus far I have been to Barcelona, Paris (twice), Brussels, Amsterdam, Rome, Athens, Egypt, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Next on my list is Australia and New Zealand.
